JONATHAN FISHER

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Prior to launching West Road Pictures, Jonathan worked at Company Pictures, where he developed and produced BLOOD for Virgin Media Television, which aired on Channel 5 in the UK and Acorn TV in the US. He was Executive Producer on MIDSOMER MURDERS for ITV, and was responsible for leading the world famous murder mystery drama into its landmark twentieth series. Jonathan script-edited the final series of LEWIS for ITV, and prior to that was Head of Development at Dominic Minghella’s company, Island Pictures. Since launching West Road in 2019, Jonathan has executive produced BLOOD, PENANCE, and HOLLINGTON DRIVE for the company. He is Executive Producer and co-creator on detective series RIDLEY, starring Adrian Dunbar.

 
 
 

 
 
 

ELLIE BIRNIE

HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT

Ellie is currently developing a range of projects for West Road and managing the company slate. She script-edited the first series of BLOOD and served as Script Executive on BLOOD S2 and PENANCE. Most recently Ellie was an Associate Producer on HOLLINGTON DRIVE for ITV. She has a BA in Politics from Kings College London.

 
 
 

 
 
 

LEAH FOSTER

DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

Leah joined West Road Pictures as Development Executive, having previously worked as Development Editor for Monumental Television where she nurtured projects across the development slate. Alongside this, Leah was Script Editor on MRS SIDHU INVESTIGATES for Acorn TV and Junior Script Editor on MURDER IN PROVENCE for ITV / BritBox. Prior to this, Leah worked at Magnolia Mae Films, where she was Development Associate and also served as Producer’s Assistant on THE DIG (Netflix).

 
 
 

 
 
 

SARAH CASWELL

DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

Sarah Caswell joined West Road Pictures from My Accomplice, an independent production company where her work as Development Executive focused on nurturing new writing talent. Prior to this, Sarah spent several years at BBC Studios, where she worked as Storyliner, Script Editor and Researcher across CASUALTY and HOLBY CITY. Sarah cut her teeth in Production Management within BBC News before changing career to follow her true passion – drama.
